The purpose of this application is to test technique “Pulsed Fast and Thermal Neutron Activation (PFTNA)” for on-line analyses of elemental composition of biofuel feedstock, which in turn may be integrated into an automatic control system for efficient combustion of variable, especially ash-rich, biofuels such as agro-biomass. The aim of this pilot study is to perform a real time on-site PFTNA test at SODERN’s plant in France, using biofuels with known elemental composition. This pilot study is also considered as a support action to Jilin project that ProcessIT has involved.
