Tidningen Plant & Civil Engineer skriver om samarbetet mellan Volvo CE och Oryx Simulations kring de träningssimulatorer som Oryx tagit fram.

Umeåföretaget Oryx Simulations har genom åren medverkat i ett flertal ProcessIT-projekt och har nått stora internationella framgångar med sina träningsplattformar för operatörer och förare av tunga fordon.

Tidningen Plant & Engineer har uppmärksammat det samarbete som Oryx har med Volvo CE och lyfter fram det istt sommarnummer 2014. Tidningen skriver ”Quite different from ‘playing’  a video game, the training simulators enables the operator  to feel precisely how the machine will react in various  situations, allowing training in  even the toughest environments and most stressful situations, all in a realistic environment  – but without risk to  trainees, instructors or the machine.”

Plant & Engineer konstaterar också: ”…research shows that an operator learns significantly more in the early stages using a simulator than on a real machine. Very specific data is logged during each training session, which can then be used to evaluate the progress of the operators as they move up to higher levels of accomplishment.”
